The self titled CD “electri-violet” is our first major release. It is a collection of songs which we believe to be a personal work of art. In the forefront are the vocals and harmonies, telling the various stories and conveying the emotions that underlie them. With the help our exceptional band members, we create a
musical landscape rich in color, texture and depth, adding further poignancy to the stories being told.
As independent artists, we fully appreciate the enthusiastic support of our fans and listeners. We could not complete a project like this without you.
Put on a pair of headphones, or just turn up your stereo, sit back and enjoy the experience!
Below is the list of songs on the album. Just click on each one to see who played on the various tracks. We’ve included the lyrics for our original music.
Thanks,
John and Carole

Hey, hey, what d’you know, mama’s in the house and daddy’s getting down low, this is the hour
Sister, sister, you’re so pretty, come all the way want to sing a little ditty you move me,
feel the power
Memories, they shape my mind, any little far off place that I can find, we’ve got to move this line,
singing hey, hey what d‘you know, got a whole lot of loving, not so far to go, into the hour
Chorus:
Do right baby, show us everything that is new, the world is opened up to you
Do right baby, now you got it going on, too, ahh
Do right baby, you really got a hold of the power, step into the hour
Hey, hey, what d’you say, got a friend maybe baby she can take us all the way,
into the hour
So wise, no surprise, shake a little baby, open up their eyes,
feel the power
Memories, they shape my mind, any little far off place that I can find, we’ve got to move this line, singing hey, hey what d’you know, got a whole lot of loving, not so far to go, into the hour
Chorus:
Do right…..
Well, you know what I’m talking about, stand up baby and shout, come on out
Do you need to wait for a sign, it is time, you’re going to find
Find me now in the moonlight, stop me now, ‘cause I’m going to take it higher tonight
Watch me now, no more talking ‘bout it - do right, hold tight
Do right, hold tight, everything is alright
Hey, hey, what d’you know, mama’s in the house and daddy’s getting down low, this is the hour
Sister, sister, you’re so pretty, come all the way want to sing a little ditty you move me, feel the power
Memories, they shape my mind, any little far off place that I can find. we’ve got to move this line, Singing hey, hey what d’you know, got a whole lot of loving, not so far to go
Feel the power,
feel the power, feel the power.

Cool down, better think again before you say another word
Stand down, can’t believe what we just heard
Big misunderstanding, watch out for that landing
The room is hot, the kids are frightened
Hey, stop your fighting
Next round, don’t you know that everything is turning all around
Smack down, and you’re going to find yourself laying on the ground
No misunderstanding, watch out what you’re handing
The words you choose are so inciting
Hey, stop your fighting
Change course, if only you can find it in your heart
Use force, know exactly what you’re going to start
Caught right in the middle of it, everybody wants you to quit
Three things ring true for sure for you
You know just how to read her, love her, and mistreat her
Instrumental
Change course, if only you can find it in your heart
Use force, know exactly what you’re going to start
Caught right in the middle of it, everybody wants you to quit
Three things ring true for sure for you
You know just how to read him, love him, and mistreat him
Cool down, you better think again before you say another word
Stand down, can’t believe what we just heard
Big misunderstanding, watch out for that landing
The room is hot, the kids are frightened
Hey, stop your fighting
The words you choose are so inciting
Hey stop your fighting
The room is hot, the kids are frightened
Hey, why don’t you stop your fighting
Oh I’ve been wondering, how did we get this way?
Listen, baby, to what I say
My heart is empty, and I can’t even cry
The time has come to say goodbye
Chorus:
I got a glimpse of reality today
Won’t go on like this, no way
Got a glimpse of reality today, glimpse of reality today
My soul is screaming, oh I’ve been such a fool
If I stay with you, I will surely lose
You say you love me, but with you there is no trust
Your way of loving, it ain’t enough (it ain’t enough)
Chorus:
I got a glimpse of reality today...
Don’t pretend you know where I’m at
You might be surprised to discover that
(Well) I’ve been wondering for the longest time
No longer am I gonna walk this line
I gotta tell you baby, now it’s time to say goodbye
So go on freely, go right on through that door
Take a last look, you won’t see me no more
My heart is empty, and I can’t even cry
The time has come, to say goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I got a glimpse of reality today
Won’t go on like this, no way
I got a glimpse of reality today, glimpse of reality
No longer blind you see
I got a glimpse of reality today, today, today, today……

Well she was walking out the door
With a suitcase in her hand
He didn’t know she wasn’t coming home
She was a woman with a plan
You could see the writing on the wall
For too many years she would take the fall
Nobody else could help her in this time
There was a freedom in her eyes
Chorus:
You see it’s all about love
And I believe she’ll be so alright
You know it’s all about the love she lost, and
I believe she’ll be so alright
You know it’s all about the love she found inside
Well as she headed out of town
Memories crept in from all around
So many places where he’d put her down
But you’d never hear her make a sound
You know she caught the outbound 105
For the first time she had felt alive
She knew it all came down to do or die
There was a freedom in her eyes
Chorus:
You see it’s all about love...
She found a faded photograph from when they first met
But she’s never going to go back, no
When she walked out she understood, left it all behind for good
Nobody ever thought she could, but it’s true
You and I we always doubted her, but it’s true
Now she’s got a new life of her own, and it’s true
Well he came walking through the door
With a piece of paper in his hand
He didn’t know she wasn’t coming home
That woman that morning had a plan
